Handgun Proficiency Demonstration
Objective
Demonstrate safety and shooting proficiency with a revolver or semi-automatic handgun. Qualification may be with a revolver or semi-automatic pistol. Minimum .22 caliber handgun may used to demonstrate safety and proficiency.
Qualification
A total of 50 rounds are fired during the course of the qualification test.
A score of 70%, or 175 points of a possible 250, is required to pass.
The target used is a B-27 which is a human-shaped silhouette target measuring 24 by 45 inches.
All shooting is from the ready position, which means the gun is already in your hands and aimed in the target direction.
No drawing from a holster or shooting from aconcealed condition is permitted.
